About Me
The question I am asked most often is whether my work is painted. It is actually made by layering different-colored polymer clay (an acrylic modeling clay) into three-dimensional designs called "canes". I slice cross-sections of these canes revealing the intricate design within. These are hardened by heating in an oven and then incorporated into jewelry with silver and niobium wire, silk and rubber cord and vinyl coated steel. All niobium and surgical steel ear wires are completely hypo-allergenic.
I have a bachelor of fine arts from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have been working with polymer clay since 1988. My extensive background in painting, drawing and sculpture endows my work with it's clean color, precise design and dynamic balance and movement.
Making affordable art that one can wear and enjoy on a daily basis is important to me. Creating designs that I find beautiful in the challenging medium of polymer clay and discovering exciting ways to assemble it into jewelry is tremendously satisfying.
My jewelry has been selected for exhibition at galleries throughout the country, State Craft Centers in New England and numerous craft shows on the east coast.
Jewelry prices range from $12 to $250. This selection is a minute fraction of the available styles and design. Call, write or visit!
